Waterpark Aqua Mexicana
Aqua Mexicana is a water park where young and old can relax, play and splash around in subtropical atmospheres. Imagine yourself in Mexican spheres with colourful verandas, palm trees and a beach feel. With two water playgrounds, 10 slides, a large subtropical swimming pool, a bubble bath and two spray parks, you will experience the ultimate TexMex water fun.
The (very) little ones have fun in the water playground, while you watch and paddle. Unwind in the hot tub and enjoy the tropical atmosphere.

Opening hours
Aqua Mexicana is open from 15.00 to 19.00 from 1 to 31 March (except Mondays and Thursdays). So drop by soon to swim in tropical spheres!

How to get there
By car: Navigate to Zwarte Dijk 37, Slagharen and follow the signs. Park next to the water park and follow the marked walking route to the entrance
When this car park is full there will be redirected to the regular car park. Free parking is also available here.
By public transport: Take the train to Hardenberg or Hoogeveen and transfer to the bus to Slagharen. From the bus stop, it's a short walk.
Good to know
Admission is not included with a ticket to Amusement Park Slagharen. Visitors can buy tickets, subject to availability, at the Guest Service. Holiday park guests always have free admission.
Children under 12 are only allowed to swim under adult supervision and children without swimming certificates must wear a flotation device, like water wings, a swimming vest, etc.
Other information
Changing clothes can be done in the Aqua Mexicana changing rooms, where lockers are also available for valuables. Towels and swimwear are not for rent, so don't forget to bring them yourself. For a snack and drink, you can go to the catering facilities in the swimming paradise.
3,2,1 and slide - Discover the 10 slides
Glide down the slides and splash into the water a hundred metres away. At Aqua Mexicana you will find ten different slides. Together, the slides are more than half a kilometre long - that's over 500 metres! Our highest slide is 12 metres high. Three of the ten slides are particularly large, innovative and interactive with special effects, sound and 3D animations.
