Park regulations

I. - RESPONSIBILITY OF THE VISITOR

 

  • By entering the Slagharen Amusement and Holiday Park site, you agree to these Park Regulations. While we comply with all applicable regulations, we expect visitors to use common sense and act responsibly to protect their own health and safety and that of those in their care, especially children, for whom they are responsible at all times.
  • You enter the park at your own risk with a valid admission ticket. Visitors must (i) READ AND FOLLOW all written rules, guidelines, warnings and recommendations and properly use facilities and safety equipment, if any, and (ii) follow ALL instructions and directions from our staff. Any liability of the Park is excluded, with the exception of damage caused by intent or gross negligence on the part of Slagharen Amusement and Holiday Park.
  • Overnight guests enter the park at their own risk and with a valid wristband. You must wear this wristband during your stay and show it to a park employee upon request. Failure to wear the wristband may result in denial or expulsion from the park.
  • Visitors who, due to age and/or disability, cannot properly read and/or understand the rules, guidelines, warnings and/or written recommendations are responsible for ensuring that they are properly explained. Park staff can assist if necessary.
  • Visitors must act responsibly for their own health and safety, and for the health and safety of their dependents and others around them.
  • Visitors will be courteous and respectful to other visitors and Park staff, and respect the Park facilities, other visitors, staff, as well as the flora and fauna.
  • Visitors who, in the opinion of our staff, do not comply with the rules and instructions and/or behave irresponsibly and/or disrespectfully towards other visitors and/or our staff, may be asked to leave the Park and are not entitled to any refund. We reserve the right to bring this behavior to the attention of the competent authorities.

Please refer to the specific guidelines and rules posted at the gate of each of the attractions, and the park's general operating rules described below.

II.- RIDES AND FACILITIES CONDITIONS OF USE

 

WARNING! Please check your physical and emotional state BEFORE you just “Do It”.

  • You enter the Park at your own risk. The park's attractions and other facilities can provide our visitors with wonderful memories and exciting fun! But the (water) attractions can cause, among other things, an increased heart rate, increased blood pressure and muscle tension in the neck and back due to the speed and unpredictable movements.
  • Therefore, it is very important that you do not drive or participate in any activities, nor allow your dependents to ride or participate in any activity, if you or your dependent are under the influence of alcohol or other narcotic substances that affect health, can affect senses, mental awareness, reflexes and coordination.
  • Do not ride or participate in any activity if you have, have had or are suspected of having any medical condition, existing health problem or injury, including but not limited to cardiac, neurological, spinal, neck, brain, eye, ear or any other illness or injury that may be caused or aggravated by riding or participating in an activity.
  • Nor should you undertake any journey - unless otherwise stated - if you are pregnant (or suspect you are pregnant); if you have had a surgical procedure in recent months; or if you are still recovering from an illness or medical treatment/surgery.

ONLY YOU CAN DETERMINE THAT YOU ARE PHYSICAL AND MENTALLY FITNESS TO SAFELY RIDE OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY OTHER ACTIVITY.

  • The park cannot guarantee your health - or that of your dependents - it must decide that you - or your dependents - are fit and healthy enough to use a particular ride or undertake a particular activity, and that you meets the age, weight and height as described in the operating rules.

WHEN PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITIES, YOU ACCEPT THE ASSOCIATED RISKS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, OUR STAFF WILL BE GLAD TO ASSIST YOU.

  • While we comply with applicable regulations, we expect and appreciate that guests use common sense and act responsibly to protect their own health and safety (and that of healthcare providers).
  • Guests must read and enforce all rules, recommendations and warnings. Guests must correctly use the amenities and facilities of Slagharen Amusement & Holiday Park and all safety equipment provided. Guests who do not comply may be removed from the park without a refund.
  • Every guest at Slagharen Amusement & Holiday Park undertakes to behave in a civil and considerate manner towards other guests and park staff. Please respect the park facilities, other visitors, staff and the environment.
  • Attractions and facilities in the park can provide our guests with wonderful memories and fun! But they can also be adrenaline-pumping activities. Consider the pressure and forces on the body and senses due to rapid acceleration, speed, sudden movements of a ride in one of the attractions. This can cause muscle strain and stress on the body, such as in the neck and back and increased heart rate and blood pressure.
  • Do not participate in any activity or enter the attraction if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or legal medication or illegal substances that could affect health and/or reference. Do not participate in any activity or ride the attraction if you have health problems or injuries. Only you can determine whether you are physically and mentally able to safely participate in an attraction ride or activity. It is important to know that there are risks when you participate.
  • In order to comply with public health regulations and recommendations and because your safety is our primary concern, some areas and facilities may be closed during your visit. Read more about the possible closure of facilities on our website before coming to the park.
  • The provisions for the park apply to all areas belonging to the Slagharen Amusement & Holiday Park. In cases not provided for by these park rules, the park management's discretion applies.

 

A) USE OF RIDES

  • Respect the specified guidelines regarding age, height, weight and health.
  • Follow the guidelines and safety instructions indicated on the information boards and follow the guidelines of our park employees. Keep hands, arms, legs and feet inside the attraction vehicle at all times. Make sure that all loose items such as wallets, change, glasses, cell phone, cameras, scarves are properly stored.
  • Do not enter a closed or out of service attraction/playground equipment.
  • Remain seated at all times when the attraction is moving until you are instructed to leave the attraction.
  • Always close the safety bar or belts provided, do not try to open them or wring them out when the attraction is in operation.
  • Parents/guardians are always responsible for the children they supervise
  • If someone doesn't want to go on an attraction, don't force them to.
  • If you observe unsafe behavior or situations during the ride, report this immediately to a park employee.
  • Use of Black Hill Ranger Path is at your own risk.

III.- GENERAL RULES

A) RULES AND CONDITIONS FOR ACCESS AND USE OF THE PARK

The capacity of the Park and that of the facilities are limited:

  • People must use the park's paths and roads. It is not permitted to go off the paths
  • Waste must be deposited in the waste bins available in the park. The waste is collected separately to protect the environment.
  • Bicycles, skates, skateboards, scooters and other vehicles are not permitted in the Park, with the exception of mobility assistance vehicles (e.g. wheelchairs).
  • Dogs are allowed to walk around the park on a leash. Dogs are not allowed on the attractions and queues, with the exception of assistance dogs in the queues.
  • The use of sound carriers is permitted in the accommodations provided the volume is at an acceptable level for everyone. Sound carriers are prohibited in other parts of the amusement or holiday park.
  • Spitting (from attractions) towards other people is not permitted.
  • For safety reasons, height, build and/or health criteria apply. As a result, a guest who does not meet the set criteria may be denied access to certain attractions. Ask at the entrance of each attraction you visit about the applicable entry restrictions. You can also consult these on the Park's website. [https://www.slagharen.com/nl/lengthtafel].
  • The length is measured with shoes on.

  • In case of severe weather conditions, technical or organizational reasons, attractions, shows, restaurants and shops may be closed. The Park will inform you as soon as possible via the Website, Social Media channels and at the information points in the Park.
  • If you wish to leave the site temporarily, you must inform our staff before departure, as you must be properly identified - with an identification stamp or any other means of identification determined by the Park - to re-enter the site. Otherwise, access to the facilities may be denied.
  • Carrying out (commercial) activities including collections, advertising, recordings, research and the sale and distribution of pamphlets, flyers or products in the Park is not permitted unless express prior written permission has been granted.
  • In the Park, photos are taken at the entrance (if desired) and in some attractions. There are also photographers present who can take photos of you during your visit if desired. These photos are only intended as souvenirs for visitors. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, these photos will be irreparably destroyed at the end of the day. Please inquire at the Park ticket offices, information office or at the gate of each attraction where you can view and purchase your photos. Under no circumstances will photos be sold to anyone other than the people depicted in them. If you have any doubts, comments or questions, please contact us at privacy@slagharen.com.
  • For the promotion of AVS, photos may be taken on the AVS premises by AVS, or on behalf of AVS, in which your portrait may appear. AVS reserves the right to use these photos for promotional purposes, such as promotional campaigns and/or in brochures, etc. By entering AVS premises, you give permission in advance for the use of any images in which you are visible.
  • There are several tables and benches throughout the park where you can enjoy food and drinks you bring with you. Terraces and areas in the locations are exclusively intended for customers who have purchased their food at that location.
  • The park is maintained as carefully as possible. However, it may happen that you encounter less pleasant things, or that you have unintentionally caused damage. In that case, AVS kindly requests that you report this to Guest Service.
  • Parents and supervisors of children and groups are responsible for those who visit the park under their supervision. This means that parents and supervisors are also liable for damage caused by those entrusted to them.
  • Additional house rules apply to your visit to Aqua Mexicana, which you will find at the entrance of Aqua Mexicana. It is also mandatory for children without a swimming diploma to wear swimming armbands. In addition, children under the age of 12 are not allowed to enter Aqua Mexicana without adult supervision.
  • We have allergen information available at our catering locations. Please ask one of the employees.
  • Large groups of young people are not allowed to congregate in one place in the park.

B) SAFETY STANDARDS

  • Safety is our priority. Everyone is obliged to adhere to the rules in and around an attraccion.
  • Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • The possession and carrying of weapons or objects that could pose a danger are prohibited during the visit to the park. The park employees are authorized to confiscate these weapons and objects if they are found. If there is a reasonable suspicion of weapons possession, park employees are entitled to carry out a check.
  • It is prohibited to make open fires, such as fire pits, torches, garden fireplaces, etc. It is not permitted to bring and/or light off your own fireworks, wish balloons, etc. Smoking is not permitted in the buildings or on the attractions. You must follow fire regulations and indications.
  • For your and our safety, camera surveillance is used on the grounds and in the buildings of AVS. AVS reserves the right to transfer images to the competent authorities if criminal offenses are suspected. A registration will also take place with the “Nuisance Donation Shoplifting” foundation. Committing theft or attempting to commit theft may result in removal from AVS premises. AVS reserves the right to file a report.
  • If there is misconduct towards other guests and/or park employees, an AVS park employee can remove you from the park. Carrying your ID with you is mandatory. In connection with your and our safety, an AVS employee may ask you to show valid identification. AVS reserves the right to protect safety or, if the facts and/or circumstances reasonably require this, to conduct preventive searches, check bags and ask for a valid ID. If you do not cooperate, this may lead to removal from the park.
  • The instructions of the park employees must be followed. The park employees are entitled to deny the use of an attraction or facility or to remove them from the park to persons who do not follow the instructions of park employees, who resist or do not adhere to these park rules, without being entitled to compensation.
  • The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages and tobacco is strictly prohibited for persons under the age of 18. If there is any doubt about age, you must identify yourself. The abuse of alcohol is not permitted under any circumstances.
  • For security reasons, the Park reserves the right to allow duly authorized personnel to inspect backpacks, handbags, bags or other similar items under the conditions and within the limitations established by law.
  • Visitors should be vigilant and careful with their personal belongings as the Park is not responsible for any loss, theft or damage during their visit to the Park.
  • Smoking is prohibited in the queues, in the indoor areas and in the children's area of ​​the Park. Any smoking areas are explicitly indicated. The Park reserves the right to remove from the site any person who, upon request by Park staff to adhere to this rule, refuses to do so.
  • The use of drones is not permitted in the Park.
  • To ensure the safety of visitors, the use of selfie sticks, drones and the use of telephones, digital cameras and recording equipment is prohibited in the attractions and water park. The Park reserves the right to remove from the Park any person who, upon request by Park Staff to adhere to this rule, refuses to do so.
  • Due to the privacy of guests, photography and filming are not permitted in Aqua Mexicana.
  • It is prohibited to make and/or distribute recordings of staff without the express permission of the employee concerned and/or Holiday & Amusement Park Slagharen.
  • Visitors are not allowed to pose as security, police or military employees.

C) TICKET AND VOUCHER RULES

  • The entrance fee or, where applicable, the entrance ticket, will only be refunded in the cases provided for by the applicable regulations.
  • Entrance tickets and vouchers must be retained for the entire duration of your stay in the Park and shown to Park and/or security staff upon request. The Park reserves the right to remove persons who cannot show a valid admission ticket or voucher.
  • If your ticket includes a guest, he/she must enter at the same time as the ticket holder and on his/her first entry into the Park.
  • Certain attractions, services, shows and/or activities are not included in the admission price. For more information, please visit the information point at the entrance to the Park or visit the park website. We also refer to point E) below, regarding payment for these attractions, services, shows and/or activities.
  • Guests of the holiday park have access to the amusement park with a paper ticket that is handed to the guest upon check-in. A ticket is required for each person. The ticket must be scanned upon entering the park and upon leaving the amusement park.
  • Day guests do not have access to the holiday park with their entrance ticket.
  • Visitors of guests of the holiday park must report to the main entrance of the amusement park. They can enter the amusement park with a day ticket that has already been purchased or purchase a ticket from Guest Service.
  • The entrance gates between the holiday park and the amusement park are open between 7:00 and 23:00. Access to the amusement park is not possible outside these times.

D) COURTESY RULES

  • We ask that out of courtesy and respect for others, please do not skip the line and save a seat for others in line. Please respect each other and wait your turn.
  • For reasons of hygiene, courtesy and respect for others, it is not permitted to be dressed in an offensive manner during your stay in the Park, such as wearing swimwear or exposing your upper body. It is also mandatory to wear shoes. Access to certain attractions may be denied if the clothing worn poses a safety risk.
  • To ensure that all our visitors can enjoy the attractions, visitors must immediately leave the attraction at the end of the ride and follow the instructions of the staff via the indicated route. If you want to ride the attraction again, you will have to stand in line again.

E) PAYMENTS

At certain points of sale in the Park, such as cash registers, restaurants and shops, cash payment is limited and there are one or more cash registers where payment can only be made by bank card or mobile device. These outlets will be equipped with information panels accordingly. The Park aims to equip every point of sale with at least one cash payment option. This does not alter the fact that cash payment may be refused for operational or security reasons. If you pay in cash at the Park's ticket office, this does not in itself give you the right to pay in cash at any point of sale in the Park. If in doubt, please contact the staff of the establishment, they will be happy to help you.

F) NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES

The Park reserves the right to refuse access to the attractions and to remove them from the attractions to persons who violate the rules below. Violators are not entitled to a refu.

  • Serious disturbance of the peace in the Park or its attractions or the commission of a criminal offense.
  • Misuse of tickets or Park Vouchers (including fraudulent, misleading or dishonest use by the ticket holder and/or resale or counterfeiting of tickets). Only tickets purchased at authorized points of sale and online are valid.
  • Bathing in fountains or water attractions that are not intended for this purpose.
  • Destroying or otherwise causing damage to the Park's facilities or personal property of other visitors and employees of the Park.
  • Behaving in a way that interferes with or seriously impairs the enjoyment of other visitors.
  • Leaving minors unattended.
  • Consuming, selling or distributing drugs or narcotics on the Park grounds. Violators will be immediately deported and reported to authorities.
  • Failure to comply with any security measures.
