On adventure in the Wild West, Slagharen opens on 30 March.

The start of the 2024 season is approaching rapidly. Just 8 more nights to sleep, and on Saturday, March 30th, Attraction & Holiday Park Slagharen will open its doors for the 62nd time. Today, the amusement park in Overijssel unveils what guests can expect this year.

Wild West Slagharen, the park where the Wild West has come to life since 1963, where adventures await at every corner! The magic of the old frontier with a modern twist, where families can enjoy an unforgettable day full of fun and excitement.

Spring!

From the opening, the park will be themed 'Spring!'. Slagharen's spring event, with the spring sun shining and the park dressed in cheerful colors with colorful flags, flowers, and plants. Unique photo spots have been developed as well. In the Music Hall, visitors can enjoy the Randy & Rosie show: "Let's Party!" where Rosie's participation in a flower contest is sabotaged by the Red Bandits. The day concludes with a colorful parade.

Update Red Bandit Adventure

Last April, the Red Bandits opened their new attraction, allowing guests to take a boat ride in the new experience, Red Bandit Adventure. During this thrilling journey, visitors are challenged to become real Red Bandits and experience various adventures. To enhance this experience, more storytelling has been added to the attraction through video and audio fragments. Visitors are further immersed in the story of the Red Bandits and, if they successfully complete the journey, can call themselves true Red Bandits.

New luxury 8-person accommodation Rancho Grande

With increasing demand for more luxurious and spacious holiday homes, Slagharen is offering 60 new luxury detached accommodations from 2024. The homes come in two versions: Rancho Grande and Rancho Grande Deluxe. In addition to being modern, the accommodations can accommodate up to 8 people. The homes offer four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room with a luxurious kitchen, and a sun-drenched terrace partially covered. The Deluxe version includes amenities such as a sauna, Ofyr BBQ, Quooker, and Bluetooth sound system. The new Rancho Grandes will be located on the site of the former campsite and will be available for rent from April 26th.

Summer Program

For the summer, Slagharen is still busy developing an adventurous program. At this moment, it can be revealed that this summer will feature an exciting Randy & Rosie show and the danger on the streets is not gone. In addition to the antics of the Red Bandits, an exciting stunt street show will be added. Special summer evenings including live music will also be organized for enjoying the park into the late hours, but more details will follow later!

Halloween

After a successful first edition, a second edition of Halloween at Slagharen cannot be missed in 2024. Following very positive reactions to the day and evening programs, Slagharen will bring back Scary Prairie, the family event for daytime and Western Nightmares, the evening event for visitors with nerves of steel aged 14 and older. In the coming months, Slagharen will work on further developing and renewing the Halloween Event.

Winter Slagharen

Winter Slagharen will start differently this year! Saint Nicholas and his helpers will play a more prominent role in the offering, and after Halloween, Slagharen prepares for his arrival! A varied Saint Nicholas program will be developed, with the perennial question of whether the clumsy helpers will manage to deliver the presents on time. Because the days are very busy for Saint Nicholas and his helpers, they will also use the park to rest occasionally in cozy holiday homes.

Once Saint Nicholas has departed for Spain again, the park will be transformed into a magical Christmas festival. Sparkling lights, Christmas trees, and plenty of sweets create a festive atmosphere in the park. Of course, Santa Claus will take up residence in the park to prepare for the busy Christmas days. In addition to a spectacular fireworks show on New Year's Eve, visitors can also ice skate to their heart's content during the holidays and then enjoy hot chocolate!
